I cannot find the right thread, but we were talking about how some sites on eBay sell for so little and someone asked about how do those people make money and what's the point, etc...
I want to show you a listing I just put up:

If this sells for the $5 I listed it as starting at, you'd think where's the money in that?
Here are some answers in MY CASE....
1. On the site I'm selling all Google and Amazon ads have MY affiliate ID's in them. The new owner may forget to change some of them and I will make money off those clicks from their visitors.
2. I have links to my other products I sell and the owner of the site will keep those because they will make money off those sales.
3. I do not include a domain name, hosting or making the changes to the ID's in the listing. If it sells for just $5, I don;t care because I don;t have to do anything except send it to them.
BUT, they may hire me to buy the domain name, obtain hosting and make the ID changes for them, so I will make $50 there.
4. They may want some more stuff on their site, and can hire me to do that as well.
I know what you're thinking.... "I don't know how to do that stuff" or "those are Natalie's products so SHE will make money but I don't have any of my own products"
and my answer is, "Why don't you?"
Instead of considering sitting back with the experience you have now and find a business to work around that experience, why don't gain more.
I don't know if I told this story before, but it's worth repeating.
Yes I recently graduated college, but I did not learn anything (except some Flash), that I did not already know because of my OWN learning.
After I had my daughter, I stayed at home. I had a broken horrible OLD OLD macintosh. I barely knew anything about computers.
I had time, was bored, did NOT want to go back to work in an office and I loved computers... and that was my formula for succeeding.
What I am getting at is if you want something badly enough, you can learn anything!!
Don't do work that only requires the experience you have now.
Get one up on the other people.
It is VERY WORTH it!
P.S. I really should of started that auction at a penny.
However, if it does not sell at all, it was only a .35 listing fee.
Then I will re-list it at a penny.
Accounting is just one of a million topics. I am creating sites just like that for a bunch of topics. and I will upload them as I do them...
